SolarBright is a family owned, dynamic Australian solar and skylight business. The company was founded by Paul Yako and his wife Ximena in 2008. From humble beginnings in a rented upstairs office, SolarBright has grown into one of the largest residential and commercial solar installers in NSW. We now operate from our own purpose-built facility in Prestons that houses our head office, showroom, factory, and warehouse.
The SolarBright “family” has grown to over 25 staff (including two of Paul and Ximena’s sons). The combined experience of the team is over 100 years. On top of this we have over 10 installation teams working across Sydney and NSW.
We are proud to have helped over 15,000 families and businesses save money off their power bills with our range of leading energy saving solar products. We have brightened up thousands of homes and premises with our skylight products.
SolarBright services Sydney and regions across NSW. The Port Macquarie branch opened in 2019 servicing the mid north coast. Dedicated Energy Consultants cover the Illawarra, Central Coast, Newcastle, the Hunter, the Central West, Tamworth, and Coffs Harbour as well.

We specialise in both residential and commercial solar systems as well as providing solar batteries for energy storage.

In the current crazy race to the bottom with cheap solar, it is unfortunate that more customers will get caught out. SolarBright will never be the cheapest, that is not our aim or claim. We believe in fair pricing for our customers. Pricing that allows us to be there in the future if they need help or support.
We love the fact that our systems not only save our customers money they also reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Combined, all the systems SolarBright installed in 2020 will save approximately 15.6 million kgs of carbon emissions per year. Over 15 years this gives an astounding reduction of 234,000 tonnes!
SkyLights and Solar Roof Ventilators
Our innovative range of MaxLight Tubular Skylights are designed and manufactured in Australia by SolarBright. We produced our first “Deluxe” series of skylights in 2008 and introduced the improved DL models in 2008.
Research and development of the skylights resulted in the superior MaxLight range of residential and commercial skylights. They launched in 2014 and have brightened thousands of dark rooms and spaces for our customers. They are backed with an industry best 20-year warranty.
Our MaxBreeze range of solar powered roof ventilation fans are a solar powered, high-tech version of the old mechanical “Whirly-Bird” roof ventilator. They can help our customers reduce air-conditioning costs and keep their homes more comfortable in summer.
On a hot summer day your roof cavity can heat up to over 60°C. The clever design of the MaxBreeze, with a thermostat control, means that when the cavity heats up to about 30°, the unit turns on. The inbuilt, compact solar panel powers a DC motor and fan to suck the hot air out of the roof cavity.
Our MaxLight skylights and MaxBreeze solar roof ventilators are perfect for DIY installation.They are available throughout Australia from our network of distributors.
